Coldplay to Rock Mumbai in 2025: Music of the Spheres World Tour Dates Announced
Mumbai, 19th September 2024: The renowned British rock band Coldplay has officially revealed plans to return to India in 2025 as part of their global Music of the Spheres World Tour. Known for hits like “Hymn for the Weekend,” the group will be performing in the country for the first time in nine years. Coldplay’s 2025 tour in India, which includes dates, venue details, and ticket information, will take place at Mumbai’s D.Y. Patil Sports Stadium. Tickets are expected to be available on BookMyShow.
A promotional video for the event showed Mumbai’s Bandra Worli Sea Link Bridge lit up with Coldplay’s iconic logo, along with the tour announcement: “Coldplay. Music of the Spheres World Tour. 2025.” Excited fans and brands quickly took to social media to share their reactions. Spotify India commented, “Did we fall asleep and wake up in para, para, paradise?” Starbucks India humorously noted, “We spilt our coffee in excitement—we were waiting for ‘Something just like this!’.”
Warner Music India added, “In a sky full of stars, we’re glowing yellow with Coldplay!” Fans echoed the excitement, with one saying, “This is exactly what I needed to heal.”
Following the social media buzz, Coldplay officially released the full tour schedule, confirming that the band will perform in Mumbai on January 18 and 19 at DY Patil Sports Stadium.
The band’s lineup includes guitarist Jonny Buckland, frontman Chris Martin, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion. Phil Harvey, who has been with the band since 1998, serves as their manager.
