YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s “Beer Biceps” Channel Hacked, Content Deleted and Livestreams Altered
Mumbai, 26th September 2024: The well-known YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s channel has fallen victim to hacking! The podcast, famously titled “Beer Biceps,” was compromised on the evening of September 25. Here’s what unfolded:
Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast channel was hijacked, with hackers altering its name to “Tesla.” They also changed the handle to ‘@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024.’ In addition, his private channel was modified to ‘@Tesla.event.trump_2024,’ and all of his content, including recent interviews, was deleted.
The hackers initiated a live stream, replacing all original content with older interviews featuring Donald Trump and Elon Musk. The video included an AI-generated Musk promoting cryptocurrency scams, urging viewers to invest in a suspicious website, elonweb.net, promising double returns. This scam, referred to as “Bitcoin doubling,” is a tactic frequently used in cyberattacks against high-profile YouTubers.
Following the incident, YouTube took down Allahbadia’s account, and those searching for his channel now see a message stating, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that.” However, fans can explore other profiles in the meantime.
After the turmoil, Ranveer Allahbadia has finally spoken out. According to his posts on X (formerly Twitter), he was in transit to Singapore when the incident occurred but has since returned to Mumbai. He shared a story featuring a burger with the caption, “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food: vegan burgers. The death of Beer Biceps met with the death of diet.”
Additionally, he posted a picture of himself wearing an eye mask and posed a question to his audience, wondering if this marks the end of his YouTube career. He also expressed his gratitude to his fans, stating it was wonderful to meet them.
