Railway Ticket Collector Alfiya Khan Pathan Wins Silver at Asian Elite Boxing Championship 2026
Nagpur, 13th April 2026: Alfiya Khan Pathan, a Ticket Collector with the Nagpur Division of Central Railway, has won a silver medal at the Asian Elite Boxing Championship 2026 held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The championship, conducted from March 28 to April 11, saw participation from leading boxers across Asia. This was Pathan’s fourth appearance at the continental event. Kazakhstan’s Dina Islamova secured the gold medal in the category.
Pathan, who is posted at Nagpur Railway Station, has previously recorded multiple international achievements. She won gold medals at the 2022 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championship and the 2021 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championship, where she was also adjudged the best boxer of the tournament. Her earlier performances include a gold medal at the 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and a silver medal at the 2024 ASBC Asian U22 and Youth Boxing Championship.
An employee of Central Railway, Pathan balances her professional responsibilities with competitive boxing at the international level.
