Colleges Affiliated With Mumbai University Witness Delay In First-Year Law Exam Results

Mumbai, 9th March 2023: Whether it is the delayed results of the exams or the disrupted schedule, the mismanagement of the examination department of the University of Mumbai is constantly affecting the students. The Second Semester Examination (LLM) of the First Year Post Graduate Law Branch for the academic year 2021-22 was conducted from 10th to 18th January 2023. But even after 45 days, on 3rd March, the result has not been announced yet.

As a result, the academic year of the students has been completely disrupted, and the admission process for the second year of post-graduation has not yet been started. In this regard, Yuvasena Deputy Secretary Adv. Sachin Pawar has sent a letter to the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of Universities Ramesh Bais demanding immediate announcement of results.

“All the law colleges under Mumbai University have been instructed to conduct the evaluation. After the completion of the verification of the answer sheets, the pending results of the Law will be announced immediately and after that, the admission process for Law Post Graduate 2nd Year will be started at the college level,” said the Examination Department of the University of Mumbai.

“We are students of Post Graduate in Law in the academic year 2021-22. The second session exam, which was expected to be held between May-June 2022, was conducted in January 2023 with a delay of seven months due to the disrupted schedule due to Corona. The course is expected to end in July 2023, but as the first year’s second semester exam results have not been declared yet, the post-graduate second-year process has not officially started despite the start of our classes. When our academic schedule is already completely messed up, why is Mumbai University delaying declaring the results? Due to this, we are now worried about the future,” the students said.
