Notorious Criminal Arrested in Kalyan: Accused Apprehended for Possessing Illegal Pistol

Kalyan, 1st July 2023: In a swift response to a tip-off received by the Kolsewadi police, a young man named Manya, alias Basavaraj Yadav, was apprehended on Thursday near the Saket College area of Kalyan. The police, who were patrolling various parts of the city on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi and Bakri Eid, wasted no time in reaching the location and taking the suspect into custody.Assistant Police Inspector Haridas Bochre, leading a team, was conducting routine patrols in Kalyan East when they received information about an armed individual causing fear and panic in the Saket area. Immediately, police rushed to the spot, where they found Manya Yadav engaged in activities that created an atmosphere of terror.

Without hesitation, the police arrested Manya Yadav and conducted a thorough search, leading to the discovery of a pistol in close proximity to him. Subsequent investigation revealed that the arrested individual was connected to a series of heinous crimes, with a total of five cases registered against him, including murder and attempted murder charges.

Currently, the police are investigating from where he got the pistol and what he intended to do with it in the Saket area.
