Thane: Reckless Driving Of Rickshaw Driver Leaves Woman Injured On Taloja Road; Driver Flees After The Incident

Taloja, 24th July 2023: In a shocking incident on Taloja Road, a woman was thrown out of a rickshaw and left with severe injuries when the reckless driver failed to slow down while traversing a speed breaker. The incident occurred on Wednesday, leaving the victim, Mohini Jadhav, a resident of the Adivali Dhokali area in Dombivli, in an injured state.

Mohini was on her way to work on Wednesday afternoon, travelling from Palawa entrance number three in a rickshaw. As the rickshaw approached a speed breaker, the driver displayed negligence by not reducing the speed of the vehicle over the obstruction. Consequently, Mohini was forcefully thrown out of the rickshaw, landing heavily on the road.

The impact of the fall caused serious injuries to Mohini, who was left in distress, calling out for help. Shockingly, instead of assisting the injured woman, the rickshaw driver chose to flee the scene, leaving her in agony without any support to reach the hospital or her work.

A case against the absconding driver was registered at the Manpada police station after Jadhav was admitted to the hospital. Police Sub-Inspector Vidya Lande has taken charge of the investigation, and efforts are underway to track down the absconding rickshaw driver under her leadership.
