Mumbai Man Embarks on a Two-Wheeler Journey to London to Promote Road Safety and Unity

Mumbai, 30th July 2023: Yogesh Alekari, a travel enthusiast hailing from Mumbai, is all set to embark on an extraordinary journey from Mumbai to London on his two-wheeler. This thrilling expedition will cover a distance of 25,000 km across 24 countries and is expected to last for 120 days.
Apart from pursuing his hobby of travel, Yogesh’s expedition holds a deeper purpose – to promote the concepts of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family) and “Safe Travel and Road Safety.”
The Mumbai Central RTO office officials ceremoniously flagged off Yogesh’s two-wheeler journey on July 27. Prior to commencing the expedition, Bharat Kalaskar, RTO of Mumbai Central, provided Yogesh with valuable information on road safety measures during his expedition.
The Mumbai Central RTO is actively involved in various activities aimed at enhancing road safety and driver awareness. This includes counseling sessions for two-wheeler riders, distribution of helmets, eye check-up camps, health camps, counseling for heavy vehicle drivers, and creating public awareness about helmet usage for two-wheeler riders, seat belt usage, the prohibition of mobile phone usage while driving, adherence to traffic rules and road signs, avoidance of overspeeding, and measures for safe travel.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer, motor vehicle inspector, six motor vehicle inspectors, clerical staff, and citizens from the office participated in the flag-off event, extending their support and best wishes to Yogesh for his remarkable journey.
During his expedition, Yogesh aims to spread the message of road safety across India and beyond. He also pledges to represent the image of a wise and responsible citizen, abiding by the laws and regulations of each country he travels through.
Yogesh Alekari’s incredible journey not only showcases his passion for travel but also stands as an inspiring example of using personal endeavors to promote unity, road safety, and the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” on a global scale.
