Mumbai: Accused Arrested For Injuring Policeman And Obstructing Government Work In Tilak Nagar
Chembur, 25th August 2023: The Tilak Nagar Police successfully apprehended a man who had earlier injured a policeman by pelting stones at him. The accused, identified as Rahul Balu Bhosale (28), is now facing charges of obstructing government work and causing injury to an on-duty policeman.
The series of events leading to the arrest of the accused unfolded when Bhosale’s mother contacted the police control room, lodging a complaint against her own son for alleged verbal abuse and harassment. Responding promptly, a police van was dispatched to Bhosale’s residence with the intention of reprimanding him for his actions. However, upon their arrival, Bhosale’s anger seemed to have escalated.
Flying off the handle, seemingly in police presence, Bhosale reportedly seized nearby stones and threw them at the approaching officers, striking one of them and causing injury. Shockingly, he even threatened nearby individuals, warning them against any intervention. The attack left one police constable wounded, requiring medical attention.
Police arrested the accused and registered an official complaint against him for obstructing government work and causing harm to an on-duty police officer. Meanwhile, police confirmed that the condition of the injured policeman is fine.
