Mumbai: Derailment Of Local Train At Mumbai Central; Frequent Incidences Causing Trouble For People

Mumbai, 5th October 2023: The unfortunate incident of derailing a local train of the Western Railway occurred at Mumbai Central around 11.20 a.m. on Wednesday. The accident took place while the local train was going to a local car shed. Fortunately, no passenger was on the train at the time of the accident.

While going towards the Mumbai Central car shed, one of the wheels of the empty local train of the Western Railway was derailed, resulting in the overturning of the train’s few compartments. As a result of this, local services on the Western Railway were disrupted for some time.

This accident entirely disrupted the order of the day for Mumbaikars. Due to this, the Churchgate to Virar local services on the Western Railway were running 20 to 25 minutes late, diverting all the down local trains to slow down fast line trains.

These types of repetitive incidents cause great trouble for the employees and students. A few days ago, an incident involving a freight train derailment took place on the Panvel-Kalamboli route of the Central Railway.
