Air India Introduces Awaited Mumbai-Pune Flight Services

Mumbai, 22nd March 2023: The long-requested direct flight between Mumbai and Pune, two of the most significant cities in Maharashtra, is set to be built. Beginning on 26th March, Air India will operate the direct route. The direct flight will cut the typical travel time between the two major cities in half, from three hours to one.

It was odd that there was no direct flight connecting these busy cities. The first airline to offer a direct trip was Air India. Even though there aren’t many flights, the ones that do are connecting flights that take longer than four hours to get where they’re going.

As a result, since it took less time to go by road or train, travellers preferred doing so. Between these two locations, Jet Airlines operated a flight; however, it stopped doing so in 2019.

During the journey, the airline’s revived 9W route will be serviced by an Airbus A319 aircraft.

Except on Saturdays, the flights will run on their current schedule of six days per week. The plane from Air India will leave the airport in Pune at 11:20 and land in Mumbai at 12:20.

Bookings for the same have already begun.
