Central Railway to Run Night Special Suburban Trains for Ambedkar Jayanti

Mumbai, 11th April 2026: Central Railway will operate four special suburban train services during the intervening night of April 13 and 14, 2026, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar.

According to the schedule, two special services will run on the Main Line. A train will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 01:30 hrs on April 14 and reach Kalyan at 03:00 hrs. In the return direction, another special train will depart Kalyan at 01:30 hrs and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 03:00 hrs.

On the Harbour Line, a special service will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 01:30 hrs and arrive at Panvel at 02:50 hrs. A corresponding return service will depart Panvel at 01:30 hrs and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 02:50 hrs.

Central Railway stated that suburban train services on April 14, 2026, will otherwise operate as per the regular schedule. Passengers have been advised to take note of the special services.
