Discrimination Among Citizens On Vaccination? Court Summons To Kunte, Chahal, Kakani

Mumbai, 3rd November 2022: The Mulund Metropolitan Magistrate on Wednesday summoned former state chief secretary Sitaram Kunte, Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Iqbal Sinh Chahal, and former Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani after taking cognizance of a complaint filed in connection with a discriminatory order between vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens.

All three defendants violated the rules promulgated by the National Authority under the Disaster Management Act to benefit the vaccine manufacturing companies and endanger the lives of citizens. The complaint was made by Amber Koiri (51), a member of the Citizen Movement group. The issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants against Kunte, Chahal, and Kakani was demanded. Taking cognizance of this complaint, the court issued summons to Kunte, Chahal, and Kakani. The hearing of this case has been fixed for 11th January, where either these three or their representatives have to appear.

Fundamental rights and judgments of the Supreme Court have been cited in the complaint, according to which no distinction can be made between vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens. Even after taking the vaccine, you can get infected again, and they can spread the virus. The complainant has claimed that these citizens can spread the coronavirus on a large scale. The complainant claims that the fundamental rights of citizens have been violated by discriminating against the issue of vaccination.
