DRI Seizes 40 kg Gold, 6 kg Silver, and Rs 5.43 Crore Cash; Total Worth Over Rs 30 Crore, 12 Arrested
Mumbai, 7th March 2024: In a coordinated effort, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted raids in Araria (Bihar), Mumbai, Mathura, and Gurgaon, resulting in the seizure of 40 kg Foreign Origin Gold, 6 kg Silver, and Rs. 5.43 Crore cash.
Twelve individuals were arrested across the locations. The arrests involve charges related to illegal possession and smuggling. The DRI continues its investigations to trace the origin of the seized items and dismantle the smuggling network.
