Explosion Causes Damage To Dairy Shop In Neral Market; No Casualties Reported

Neral, 3rd July 2023: An explosion occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 2, at a dairy shop in Tep Ali, an upper part of Neral market. As a result, the shutters of the dairy, along with the store goods, were blown up to a height of about 10 feet. According to the preliminary information, the dairy belongs to Kailas Dangi, and it has been learned that an explosion occurred due to a short circuit.

Although there were no casualties in the accident, there was a great loss of goods in the shop. After receiving information about the explosion, Neral Police and Mangesh Irmale, in charge of the Emergency department in Neral Gram Panchayat, arrived on the scene.

The Neral Market, located along the Matheran-Neral-Kalamb highway, has several such small shops. Shree Bhairavanath Dairy is located near Ambarnath Jai Hind Bank in the Tep Ali area. Dairy owner Kailas Dangi closed the shop as usual on Saturday night.

During the early hours of Sunday, an explosion took place at the dairy, resulting in the blowing off of the shop’s shutters and goods. The incident was witnessed by the security guard at the Ambernath Jai Hind Bank ATM, who promptly notified the staff of Neral Gram Panchayat as well as Mangesh Irmale from the Emergency Department.

Following the information, both the dairy owner and the Neral police rushed to the scene. They cleared the items scattered on the road. Preliminary information suggests that the explosion occurred due to gas generation within the store.
