Fatal Altercation in Navi Mumbai: Man and Father Accused of Murdering Teenage Boyfriend

Navi Mumbai, 3rd June 2024: In Navi Mumbai Township, Maharashtra, authorities arrested a 24-year-old man following his alleged involvement, along with his father, in the murder of his 18-year-old sister’s teenage boyfriend on Sunday afternoon. The tragic incident unfolded when the accused’s sister invited the victim, a resident of the same locality, to her home in Devichapada, Panvel.

According to a Taloja police station official, upon the brother’s arrival and unsuccessful attempts to gain entry through the door, he forcibly accessed the house to find his sister and her boyfriend inside. Subsequently, he summoned his father, and together, they attacked the boy using a sickle and a spade, resulting in his untimely demise.

Law enforcement promptly responded to the scene upon notification, and the victim’s body was transferred to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. The girl’s brother has been apprehended, with charges filed against him and his 45-year-old father under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention).

The investigation into this tragic incident remains ongoing as authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the fatal altercation.
