Kalyan: Illegal Constructions In I Ward Demolished

Kalyan, 16th February 2023: In Kalyan East, the illegal constructions in the Vdarlipada area of I ward were demolished by the officials of this ward. Assistant Commissioner of ‘I’ Ward Hema Mumbarkar informed that a campaign has been started for the last two days to demolish illegal constructions on government and reserved lands within the boundaries of I Ward.

As complaints were received about illegal constructions in various areas within the I Ward, Assistant Commissioner Mumbarkar inspected all these illegal constructions and demolished the illegal commercial pits and pillars of newly erected illegal buildings with the help of the demolition team. Two unauthorized godowns on vacant land were also razed in this operation. Deputy Commissioner Sudhakar Jagtap has given orders to demolish the standing blocks blocking the roads and illegal buildings within the ward limits. This action is being taken as per that order.

The campaign to demolish illegal constructions and remove hawkers from I Ward limits is going on regularly. Now, this action is being taken as a campaign. The Assistant Commissioner of Kalyan I Division informed that criminal action is being taken against those obstructing the proceedings.
