Solapur, 1st January 2023: At least three people have died and several others injured in a massive fire that broke out at a firecracker factory in Maharashtra’s Solapur district on Sunday. The fire broke out at the unit located at Shirala in Barshi taluka at around 3 am, an official said.

“After getting the information, the fire brigade and police personnel rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation,” he said.

On the other hand, on the first day of 2023, a massive fire broke out in a factory in Nashik, trapping many workers. Officials said that at around 11 am on Sunday, an explosion occurred in the boiler of the factory, which started the fire. Several fire engines had to struggle hard to douse the fire.

So far, about 11 labourers have been pulled out of it, but still, many labourers are feared to be trapped. As soon as the information about this incident broke, beds in the District Hospital, Medical College, and Municipal Corporation were vacated because no one knew how many people were trapped in the factory.
