Mumbai: 1,365-Page Charge Sheet Filed Against Woman And Her Boyfriend For Murder Of Husband And Mother-In-Law
Mumbai, 28th February 2023: The crime branch filed a 1,365-page charge sheet against the wife and her boyfriend, who were arrested for killing her husband by mixing poisonous metals in his food and drink. Along with the murder of the husband who hindered the duo’s relationship, the accused also similarly killed the mother-in-law to grab the property.
In December, the deceased’s (Kamalkant Kapoorchand Shah) wife Kavita alias Kajal Kamalkant Shah and her boyfriend, Hitesh Shantilal Jain, were arrested by the police of Cell-9 of the Crime Branch in connection with the murder of the 47-year-old businessman. Kavita’s mother-in-law Sarla Shah died on 13th August 2022. Investigation revealed that the accused also killed her in this manner. Investigation in this regard has also been included in this charge sheet. The investigation revealed that the two were being fed arsenic and thallium metal through their meals.
