Mumbai: 56-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit By Bike

Mumbai, 5th December 2022: A 56-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding bike in Dahisar. The name of the deceased is Salim Sheikh. Dahisar police arrested a bike rider named Vishal Jayanti Gorsia in connection with his death.

 

He was released on bail after his arrest, police said. This accident occurred in Dahisar, V Road, Parbat Nagar, in front of Trimurti Studio, police said. Salim Sheikh, along with his wife and two children, lives at Laxmibai Chali. He was working as a driver. Sheikh was walking past Manav Kalyan Kendra opposite Trimurti Studio. At this time, a two-wheeler hit Sheikh. He was seriously injured in this accident.

 

Sheikh, who was injured, was immediately admitted to the nearby Navneet Hospital. As his condition was critical, his family was advised to admit him to Shatabdi Hospital. So his relatives admitted him to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali. He died while undergoing treatment there.

 

Dahisar police rushed to the spot on getting information about the accident. On the complaint of Salim’s son Imran Sheikh, the police had registered a case against the bike rider for recklessly riding the bike and causing the death of a pedestrian. As soon as the case was registered, Vishal Gorsia, who fled, was arrested by the police. He was later released on bail by the local court as the offence was bailable.
