Mumbai: Case Registered Against For Attacking Police Personnel

Mumbai, 30th January 2023: Thieves have attacked the police who went to stop them in the Azad Maidan area. In this regard, Azad Maidan police have arrested four people, and a case has been registered against them for obstructing government work. A police constable was injured in the attack and is being treated at a private hospital.

The names of the arrested accused are Rohit Vijay Singh (21), Ram Naidu (20), Sanjay Waghmare (21), and Shabir Sheikh (19). Tushar Baburao Pawar was injured in the attack by the accused. According to the information provided by the police, the complainant, Pintukumar Mahendra Yadav (26), is a tanker driver. Near the civil directorate on Saturday midnight, the accused showed a knife and an iron rod and demanded the wallet from him. When the complainant refused to hand over the wallet, the accused beat him up. After that, while Yadav was running behind the accused, Pawar, who was on duty there, tried to stop the accused. Rohit Singh then hit Pawar on the head with the wooden bamboo in his hand. Pawar was seriously injured due to this attack. He is currently under treatment and is stable.
