Mumbai Coast Guard personnel Recovered Woman’s Body After Drowning Incident At Bandstand Sea. Woman Died
Mumbai, 10th July 2023: The dead body of a woman who drowned yesterday, July 9, in the Bandstand Sea in Bandra, west of Mumbai, was
recovered on Monday morning. Mumbai Coast Guard personnel recovered the body of the woman after almost 17 hours of hard work following her fall into the sea.
The deceased woman is identified as Jyoti Sutar. Jyoti, along with her family, went to see the Fort of Band Stand on Sunday night. Watching
the fort, Jyoti lost her balance and fell into the sea at around 7 o’ clock in the night. Immediately, Mumbai police and Coast Guard personnel on duty were contacted.
Municipal lifeguards initiated the search operation immediately, but due to the high tide of the sea, the search operation was temporarily
stopped yesterday. Resuming their efforts this morning, the search team eventually located the woman’s body in the vicinity of the fort area, which was promptly handed over to the Bandra Police for further legal proceedings. The police have sent the woman’s body to the Municipal Corporation’s Bhabha Hospital for an autopsy.
