Mumbai: Drunk Woman Abuses And Assaults Police Officials

Mumbai, 27th January 2023: A drunken woman created chaos at the Vileparle airport rickshaw stand and the airport police station on Thursday. The woman abused and beat the police. She also bit the hand of a female security guard. After this incident, a case was registered against the woman for obstructing government work.

The accused woman has been identified as Rupali Jeetendra Kumar (34), a resident of Delhi. The patrolling police received information that a woman was creating a ruckus at the rickshaw stand in the airport area. Accordingly, the police reached the spot. At that time, the accused woman was abusing Assistant Police Inspector Bhosle under the influence of alcohol. After that, the woman was detained and brought to the police station with the help of security guards. There too, in the executive room, the woman started screaming to leave her. At that time, Assistant Police Inspector Bhosale asked the woman to remain calm. But the woman grabbed his hair and started kicking him.

When female police constable Priyanka Koli and security guard Jyoti tried to stop her, the woman hit Koli on the head with the mobile phone in her hand. She also bit Jyoti’s left hand. After that, Rupali was handcuffed. On the complaint of Koli, the police registered a case for obstructing government work. The woman was arrested in this case. She has since been released with a notice under Section 46 (4) of the IPC.
