Mumbai: Fire Breaks Out at Andheri West’s Lokhandwala Complex, No Injuries Reported

Mumbai, 19th September 2024: A fire broke out this morning (Thursday) at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri West, one of the upscale areas of the city. The blaze started in a bungalow with a ground-plus-one-floor structure within the complex. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire was first reported at 8:57 am and was categorized as a Level 1 fire by 9:22 am. According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials, the incident occurred at Bungalow No. 11, Cross Road No. 2, Steller Bungalows, Lokhandwala Complex.
After nearly three hours of effort, the fire was fully extinguished by 11:25 am, as confirmed by the BMC. Videos of the incident rapidly circulated online, alarming local residents.
BMC officials stated, “The fire was limited to the ground and first floors of the bungalow. The Mumbai fire brigade, ambulance services, Adani staff, and local ward officials responded promptly to the situation.” No injuries were recorded.
