Mumbai: Glass Cover Of Grotto Of Mother Mary Vandalised, Police Searching For Accused
Mumbai, 24th February 2023: The glass cover of the Grotto of Mother Mary across from Our Lady of Lourdes Church was vandalised on Thursday, and the Malad police are seeking for the individual responsible. After a complaint from the neighbourhood, the police have started looking through the area’s CCTV footage to find the criminal. As of yet, no FIR has been filed.
In a news release, Dolphy Dsouza, president of the Bombay Catholic Sabha, stated that the community urged the Mumbai police to properly look into the incident’s motivation because it happened so soon after the vandalism of St. Michael’s cemetery at Mahim on 7th January 2023.
