Mumbai Municipal Elections: Final Voter List Released with Over 1.3 Crore Electors

Mumbai, 17th December 2025: The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has released the final voter list for the upcoming civic elections. The total electorate stands at 1,34,44,315 voters, comprising 55,16,707 male voters and 48,26,509 female voters. The number of third-gender voters in the city is 1,099.

The final voter list covers 227 wards and has been published on the official BMC website. The State Election Commission has directed that the voter list as of July 1, 2025, will be considered valid for the local body elections. While separate electoral rolls are not maintained for municipal elections, the Assembly constituency-wise list prepared by the Election Commission of India is divided into wards to prepare the draft and final lists. After receiving objections and suggestions on the draft, the final voter list has now been formalized. Voter lists by polling station will be available until December 27, 2025.

Andheri East, Ward No. 66 – 61,799 voters

Sion Kolivada, Ward No. 176 – 30,748 and 30,786 voters
Dahisar, Ward No. 1 – 31,961 voters

Highest number of female voters:
Borivali, Ward No. 15 – 30,088
Andheri West, Ward No. 66 – 30,047

Lowest number of female voters:
Sion Kolivada, Ward No. 174 – 12,604
Goregaon, Ward No. 13 – 13,222

Third-gender voters:
Highest: Malad, Ward No. 34 – 281 voters
Ghatskopar, Ward No. 124 – 111 voters

The BMC election authorities have emphasized that the final voter list is crucial for ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process, and citizens are urged to verify their names and details before the polls.
