Mumbai Neighbour Dispute Turns Deadly: 72-Year-Old Woman Fatally Stabbed by 62-Year-Old Neighbour
Mumbai, 6th May 2025: A 72-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her 62-year-old neighbour following a minor dispute in Malad (West), Mumbai, on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 4 pm at Kabadiwadi on S.V. Road, where Ranjana Sanghwani and her sister resided in Vasanti Bhuwan bungalow, adjacent to the accused, Ashok Keswani, who lived alone.
According to police, the altercation began when Sanghwani placed some belongings outside her bungalow, prompting Keswani to object and demand their removal. The disagreement quickly escalated, leading Keswani to attack Sanghwani with a knife, inflicting five to six stab wounds. She succumbed to her injuries due to heavy bleeding before help could arrive.
Malad police have arrested Keswani and registered a case of murder against him. Both parties reportedly had frequent disputes over minor issues, given their adjoining residences. Further investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
