Mumbai: One From Delhi Arrested For Stealing Rs 73,000 From Fake ATM Card
Ghatkopar, 17th April 2023: Ghatkopar police arrested an accused from Delhi who embezzled money from the bank by creating a fake ATM card. The police seized a large number of fake ATM cards, SIM cards, mobiles, and some bank documents from the accused.
Baliram Ghadge, a resident of the Bhatwadi area of Ghatkopar, deposited Rs 73,000 in his wife’s bank account three months ago. However, the amount was withdrawn from the bank account on the very next day. He immediately filed a complaint at the Ghatkopar police station.
Police investigation revealed that the amount was withdrawn from an ATM in Delhi. The police immediately contacted the concerned bank and got the information about the person withdrawing the money.
It was revealed that the accused, Pravin Singh (31), had withdrawn this amount based on a fake ATM card. Police traced Pravin’s mobile and arrested him from Delhi. Police seized several fake ATM cards with different names, seven mobile phones, and several SIM cards from him.
