Mumbai Police Arrest Two for Shooting Incident at Salman Khan’s Residence

Mumbai, 16th April 2024: Two individuals from Bihar were quickly apprehended by the Mumbai police crime branch after firing shots at Salman Khan’s residence in Bandstand. The incident was reportedly carried out under the orders of Lawrence Bishnoi to instil fear rather than cause harm.

The police arrested the suspects, Vikas alias Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), late on Monday evening, just 24 hours after the firing occurred. The suspects were found in Mata No Madh village in Gujarat’s Kutch district and brought back to Mumbai.

According to reports, the suspects discarded their pistols in a river in Surat. The police suspect the duo carried out the orders for financial gain. During the firing, the suspects shot indiscriminately at Khan’s balcony at the Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, around 5 am on Sunday.

Upon arrest, the suspects admitted to carrying out the shooting, and police investigations indicated the duo played an active role in the incident. The police are working to identify the mastermind behind the plot and ascertain the full motive.

The police have booked the suspects under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy, and common intention, as well as relevant provisions of the Arms Act. The suspects’ motorcycle was found abandoned near Mount Mary Church, a short distance from Khan’s home.

The police are still working to recover the firearm used in the incident and further investigating the motorcycle used by the suspects. A social media post claiming responsibility for the incident was traced back to a foreign country, with the IP address linked to Portugal.
