Mumbai, 6th August 2023: Mumbai Police swiftly responded to a distressing phone call that had threatened a chain bomb blast in a local Mumbai train. The ominous call sent the city’s law enforcement into high alert, prompting immediate action to ensure public safety.

Authorities promptly notified the railway administration of the threat. Within a remarkably brief period of two to two and a half hours, diligent police efforts culminated in the apprehension of the caller, subsequently confirming the call to be a hoax.

Identified as Ashok Mukhiya, the 25-year-old individual responsible for the menacing call was swiftly apprehended by Juhu Police in the Nehru Nagar area of Vile Parle. Mukhiya, employed as a helper at a Mumbai hotel, hails from the Sitamarhi district of Bihar. It has come to light that the accused is also facing charges in Bihar.
