Mumbai School Receives Bomb Threat Email, No Suspicious Activity Found

Mumbai, 24th January 2025: On Thursday, a bomb threat email was sent to a school in Mumbai, prompting a response from local law enforcement and explosive detection teams, confirmed the Mumbai Police.

The Ryan Global School, located in the Jogeshwari-Oshiwara area, was the recipient of the email. Investigations revealed that the message claimed the bomb was planted by the Afzal gang.

However, after a thorough search, the police found no signs of any suspicious activity.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Earlier, on January 21, two schools in Tamil Nadu’s Erode district also received bomb threats, which were later determined to be false. The threat emails were sent to two Bharathi Vidya Bhavan-run schools in Thindal and Therkkupallam, located seven kilometres from Erode, warning of bombs planted on the premises that could explode at any moment.
