Mumbai: Security Heightened at Chabad House in Colaba Following Arrests in Pune

Mumbai, 29th July 2023: In response to recent developments, security measures at Chabad House in Colaba, Mumbai, have been significantly intensified. A photograph of Chabad House was discovered in the possession of two men who were apprehended by the Pune Police, prompting authorities to remain on high alert.
The Chabad House has been the target of terrorist attacks in the past, and the latest findings have raised concerns once again. There are indications that the terrorist team may have entered Chabad House, adding to the urgency of the situation.
After uncovering photographs from suspects Imran Yunus Khan and Younus Yakub Saki, security has been tightened at Chabad House to prevent any potential threats.
To prepare for any eventuality, a mock drill was conducted on Thursday to assess the readiness of the security personnel. The two suspects taken into custody were on the NIA’s most wanted list.
During the investigation, Pune police found materials for making drones, including a live cartridge, in their possession. As of now, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has taken custody of both individuals.
The investigating officers suspect that these suspects, originally from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh, have connections to a terrorist outfit known as Sufa, based in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, they are believed to have been influenced by ISIS and are accused of conspiring to carry out blasts in Jaipur.
