Mumbai: Security Officers Barred Knief-Weilding Individual From Entering The Mantralaya Building

Mumbai, 1st September 2023: A young man entering the newly constructed state building in Mantralaya was held by the security officers yesterday after a knife was found in his bag. The police then registered a case against the suspect and issued him a notice under Section 41(a)1 of the CrPC.

A young man entered the Ministry’s new administrative building yesterday afternoon under the guise of his personal work. However, he was stopped at the entrance by security guards after a knife was found in his bag during a baggage check. The 29-year-old youth is identified as a Dnyaneshwar Sugriva Suryavanshi, and he is a resident of Umarga in Latur.

After being held by the police, when the police asked the youth about the reason behind it, he was not able to give satisfactory answers. Hence, Marine Drive police detained the youth and issued him a notice under Section 41(a)1 CrPC.

The suspect youth is a cook by profession, and the Marine Drive police are further investigating him in this case.
