Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA’s Son And His Associates Booked For Kidnapping CEO Of Music Company At Gunpoint

Mumbai, 11th August 2023: On Thursday, the Vanrai police initiated legal proceedings against Raj Surve, son of Shiv Sena Shinde faction MLA Prakash Surve, and a group of 10–15 others for their alleged involvement in the abduction of Rajkumar Jagdish Singh, the CEO of Global Music Company.

The case involves a loan transaction that took place in 2019, in which Manoj Mishra, the main accused in the case and proprietor of Adishakti Music Company, reportedly borrowed a substantial sum of Rs 8 crore from Global Music Company, and the loan was facilitated by mortgaging the licence of Adishakti Pvt. Ltd.

According to the official complaint lodged at the police station by Singh, it is alleged that Mishra diverted the loan funds elsewhere rather than investing it in the company. And, afterwards, he started pressuring Singh to cancel the contract.

However, the situation escalated on Wednesday afternoon when Singh received an unexpected phone call around 3:15 p.m. in which the caller, in an ominous tone, threatened Singh and asked him to come to Prakash Surve’s office. However, when Singh cut the call, after some time, suddenly, 10-15 people entered his office and allegedly took him to Prakash Surve’s office, near Universal School, from the Western Expressway at gunpoint.

In this case, the Vanrai police have registered a case against Raj Surve and his associates under the Kidnapping and Arms Act. And the main accused, Manoj Mishra, was arrested by the police from Mumbai airport yesterday.
