Mumbai, 8th April 2024: In a firm declaration, the Mumbai suburban district collector issued a stern warning on Sunday, emphasizing that offices and factories within the district must adhere to regulations regarding paid holidays or a two-hour recess for staff on the day of voting for the Lok Sabha polls.

As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission, the Mumbai suburban district is scheduled to vote in the fifth phase on May 20.

In an official notice, Mumbai Suburban District Collector Rajesh Kshirsagar, serving as the returning officer, outlined that establishments unable to grant their employees a full-day holiday must, with the permission of the collector’s office, provide a two-hour break.
