Mumbai: Three-Vehicle Collision On Chembur-Santacruz Flyover Leaves Three Seriously Injured

Mumbai, 12th September 2023: In the early hours of Sunday morning, a collision involving three vehicles on the Chembur-Santacruz flyover left three individuals seriously injured. These injured parties are currently receiving medical treatment at Rajawadi Hospital as authorities are working to gather the details of the unfortunate accident.

The incident occurred on a section of the flyover situated near Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday. It involved an Ola car that was travelling from Chembur to the Kurla West area. At this critical juncture, a rickshaw suddenly appeared in front of the signal on the flyover, causing the Ola car to collide with it. The impact from this initial collision then sent the car careening into a taxi that was passing on the roadway.

The collision resulted in significant damage to all three vehicles involved: the rickshaw, the taxi, and the Ola car. The individuals most affected by the accident were the rickshaw driver, the taxi driver, and a passenger who was travelling in the taxi. All three sustained serious injuries in the crash.

After the accident, local people rushed to the spot and evacuated all the seriously injured from the car. They were quickly transported to Rajawadi Hospital via ambulance for immediate medical attention.

In a concerning development, the driver of the Ola car fled the scene following the accident. Subsequently, the Nehrunagar police were informed about the incident, and they have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the collision and locate the missing driver.
