Mumbai To Konkan: Central Railway Announces 18 Additional Special Trains For Ganeshotsav

Mumbai, 26th July 2023: As the Ganeshotsav festival approaches, Central Railway has unveiled plans to operate 18 more unreserved Ganpati special trains between Mumbai and Kudal in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.

This comes after the Mumbai Division of Central Railway previously announced the release of 208 special trains for September 2023’s Ganeshotsav. Western Railway, on the other hand, revealed their plan to roll out 40 special trains. With both railways combined, a total of 266 special trains will be in operation this year.

The newly announced Train No. 01185 LTT-Kudal will run every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from September 13 to October 2. The train will depart from LTT at 12.45 pm and reach Kudal at 11.30 am. Conversely, Train No. 01186 will depart from Kudal every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 12.10 PM, reaching LTT at 12.35 PM. Passengers on this route can look forward to stops at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Aadvali, Vilavede, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, and Sindhudurg.

Additionally, Western Railway will also be running 30 rounds of train number 09009/09010 from Mumbai Central to Sawantwadi, 6 rounds of train number 09018/09017 from Udhna to Madgaon, and 4 rounds of train number 09150/09149 from Vishvamitri (Gujarat) to Kudal as special services. Ticket reservations for these 40 special trains will begin from July 27.
