Mumbai: Two Buses Of BEST Collides Resulting In Death Of Police Inspector
Vakola, 14th April 2023: In an unfortunate incident, an official of the Mumbai Police Force was crushed to death after being found in the middle of a collision between two BEST buses. The incident took place around 9:30 am today (14th April) morning in the Vakola area. The name of the deceased police inspector is Pravin Ashok Dinkar.
According to Police Constable Narayanakar of Vakola Police Station, the accident took place at 9.08 am near New Modern School, Vakola Mosque. Pravin Ashok Dinkar left his house in Santacruz to go to the Marine Drive Police Station. At that time, bus number 392 of BEST hit him hard in the Vakola area.
While Pravin Ashok Dinkar was passing through Vakola, a passenger was coming down from the BEST bus in front of him. So Pravin Dinkar was waiting behind the BEST bus. Just then, another BEST bus came at full speed from behind. Reportedly, the driver failed to apply breaks of the said bus at the right time resulting in the bus hitting the bus standing in front. At that time, Pravin Dinkar was in the middle of both buses and was crushed.
Pravin Dinkar was seriously injured in this accident. He was immediately taken to VN Desai Hospital. However, the doctors declared him dead around 11.15 am while he was undergoing treatment. At present, further investigation of this incident is going on by the police.
