Mumbai: Woman Was Pushed Out Of Moving Train At Mumbai’s Dadar Station; Accused Arrested

Dadar, 8th August 2023: A shocking incident unfolded at Dadar railway station yesterday as a woman was propelled out of a moving train by an assailant. The Dadar Railway Police Station immediately arrested the accused and took him into custody. The victim, fortunately, sustained only minor injuries during the incident.

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 6, at the Udyan Express, where a 29-year-old woman was travelling in the ladies’ compartment. As the train arrived at Dadar station, the other female passengers alighted onto the platform, leaving the woman alone in the compartment. Seeing the lone lady in the coach, suddenly, a man boarded into the compartment with the intention of mugging.

Sensing the sinister motives of the intruder, the woman raised an alarm and began to resist his advances. However, Fly off the handle with her response, the accused violently pushed the woman out of the moving train. Luckily, she fell on the platform, averting a potentially fatal outcome. However, in the course of the scuffle, she sustained some minor injuries and lost consciousness.

As soon as the Dadar Railway Police were informed about the incident, they promptly registered a complaint and nabbed the accused with the help of CCTV footage from station premises.
