Navi Mumbai: Accused In Assault Case Found To Be Bangladeshi Resident Living In Country Illegally

Navi Mumbai, 18th February 2023: A case of assault was registered against Nuria alias Gana Babul Pathan, who lives in the NRI police station limits. However, the Anti-Terrorism Squad had received confidential information about the accused. When the officer interrogated him, it was found that he was a native of Bangladesh and was living in India illegally.
Nuria is the son of native Bangladeshi couple Babul Majeed Pathan (60) and Parveen Pathan. He came to India with his parents in 1995 without a valid passport. Since then, he has been living in the old fish market area and earns a living by selling vegetables and fishing. Shockingly, he has an Aadhaar card and PAN card as proof of Indian citizenship. He has made it based on forged documents. He was communicating with his Bangladeshi relatives through his mobile number. At present, his parents may have gone back to Bangladesh.
