Navi Mumbai: Brazen Daylight Robbery In Kharghar: Robbers Flee With Gold Chain Worth Rs 30,000
Kharghar, 17th August 2023: In a shocking incident that unfolded in broad daylight, a gang of three robbers targeted a married woman in Kharghar, Sector 3, snatching a gold chain worth Rs 30,000 from her neck. The robbery took place near A.C. Patil College in Belpada, leaving the victim, Rita Kori (38), completely shaken. The Kharghar police have swiftly responded, launching a full-scale investigation into the forced theft.
Rita Kori, a resident of Kharghar’s Belpada area, was on her way to buy clothes in Sector-4 on Monday, August 14. At approximately 10:15 a.m., as she was strolling along the road adjacent to A.C. Patil College, a gang of three men approached her on a two-wheeler from behind. Within a moment, one of the assailants forcefully snatched the gold chain from Kori’s neck before the group sped off towards Belpada village. Despite Kori’s attempts to chase them by shouting, the robbers managed to evade capture, disappearing into the labyrinthine alleys.
Upon realising that thieves had escaped, Kori promptly lodged a complaint with the Kharghar Police Station. The authorities have sprung into action, registering a complaint against three unidentified people.
