Navi Mumbai: Panvel Police Strike Lady Bar Orchestra In City, Apprehend Dancers And Staff Members For Law Infringement
Panvel, 20th October 2023: In a recent operation, authorities from the Panvel taluka police conducted a raid on Tuesday night at the Crazy Boys ladies bar within the city. Subsequently, they apprehended a total of 12 female bar dancers, staff members, and 24 customers for engaging in lewd conduct aimed at enticing patrons to the bar.
The Panvel taluka police had received a tip-off indicating that a clandestine dance bar was operating in the vicinity. Police were informed that the female dancers within the bar were resorting to explicit gestures to physically solicit the customers at the orchestra bar situated in Kongaon, Panvel.
Acting upon directives from Senior Police Inspector Anil Patil, Assistant Police Inspectors Sachin Powar and Rajesh Mahala, along with their team, corroborated the reports by sending a team of panvel police in civil dress to Crazy Boys Bar on Tuesday night. Following these observations, Panvel police officers proceeded to inspect the bar.
Subsequently, a midnight raid was conducted by the police at the said bar, leading to the apprehension of a dozen female waitstaff who were not adhering to appropriate dress codes and were found making explicit gestures in front of the customers. Additionally, 12 female employees who were found to be encouraging such behaviour, along with managers, waitstaff, and customers who were endorsing this conduct, were also taken into custody.
All individuals involved have been formally charged and detained on grounds of violating the terms and conditions specified in their licencing agreements and disrupting the decorum of the premises.
