Prohibition Of Exit Poll On Polling Day

Mumbai, 2nd November 2022: The Election Commission of India has announced the by-election of ‘166- Andheri East’ Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha Constituency. Voting for this election will be held on 3rd November 2022, from 7 am to 6 pm. There are seven candidates in the fray for this election. Meanwhile, the election battle ended after BJP withdrew its candidate.

Independent candidates do not campaign much. Therefore, the Shiv Sena has expressed the fear that the residents have got the impression that there is no election due to the absence of an election atmosphere in this area. Since the voting percentage is already low in the by-elections, doubts are being expressed about how many people will turn out to vote. In addition, the challenges facing the Shiv Sena are not over yet as the opposition group is campaigning for an alternative to currency notes.
