Baner, 19th April 2022: After residents of Bella Casa society and adjoining nearby buildings reported damages to their flats and vehicles due to intense blasting at the adjacent construction site of VTP Sierra, a luxurious residential project, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) is issuing ‘stop work’ notice to the builder.
PMRDA Commissioner Suhas Divase told PunekarNews.in, “We have asked the developer to submit all the permission documents from competent authorities for mining. We will take appropriate action under MRTP immediately. As of now ‘Stop Work’ notice will be given.”
On the other hand, VTP Realty MD Bhushan Palresha refuted allegations by the residents. “We are unable to ascertain from the pictures and video that have been circulating if this damage is from the work going on our site. It is not clear at all. The whole episode as of now seems fishy and we cannot rule out any ulterior motive.
However, we are speaking with the contractor who is deployed and are also investigating the episode in detail. Based on our findings we will take appropriate action on the contractor if found to have been lacking in the precautions”, Palresha told PunekarNews.in
Officials from the Hinjawadi police station under Pimpri Chinchwad police who also reached the site and residential buildings said that they are assessing the damages for any further action.
