Railway Protection Force Officer Dies in Unfortunate Incident at Kasara Station
Mumbai, 13th August 2023: Railway Protection Force (RPF) Officer, D.F. Sonwane, who was on duty at Kasara station on the Central Railway, tragically lost his life.
He met with an unfortunate accident when he slipped into the gap between the express train and the platform and was fatally injured under the moving train.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 7 am when Train No. 04152 Kanpur Central Express pulled into Platform No. 1 at Kasara station. While attempting to intervene and resolve a dispute among passengers on the train, Sonwane unfortunately slipped and fell underneath the train’s carriage, becoming trapped between the platform and the moving train. Despite prompt efforts, Sonwane succumbed to his injuries.
