Special Mumbai-Howrah Trains Announced, Bookings from Dec 12
Mumbai, 12 December 2025: Central Railway has announced special train services between Mumbai and Howrah to meet increased passenger demand. The services include two one-way specials scheduled for 11 and 13 December 2025.
According to the schedule, Train No. 02870 will depart from Howrah at 13:55 hrs on 11 December (Thursday) and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 23:45 hrs on Friday. In the reverse direction, Train No. 02869 will depart from CSMT at 11:05 hrs on 13 December (Saturday) and arrive at Howrah at 20:55 hrs on Sunday.
Halts and Coach Composition
The trains will halt at Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Tatanagar and Kharagpur.

2 AC 2-Tier
5 AC 3-Tier
2 AC 3-Tier Economy
6 Sleeper Class
4 General Second Class
1 General Second Class–cum–Guard’s Brake Van
1 Generator/Luggage Van

Bookings for Train No. 02869 will open on 12 December 2025 at all PRS centers and on the IRCTC website. Passengers may refer to online railway enquiry platforms for detailed halt timings.
