Sudipto Sen’s “The Kerela Story” Crosses 100 Crore Mark
Mumbai, 14th May 2023: The Kerala Story crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office nine days after its debut, making it one of the biggest films of the year.
The controversy around the Sudipto Sen-directed film began as soon as the trailer appeared online. Protests have broken out around the nation even after the movie was released in theatres. West Bengal similarly imposed a ban on the movie.
Additionally, several lawmakers have charged the film’s creators with attempting to incite hatred towards a certain religion.
Last week, it debuted with Rs 8.05 crore at the box office, but since then, the figures have significantly increased.
