Teachers’ Special Train Announced Between Mumbai and Banaras; Services Scheduled in May and June

Mumbai 14th April 2026: Central Railway has announced a dedicated Teachers’ Special train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai and Banaras to facilitate travel during the summer period.

According to official information, Train No. 01125 will depart from LTT on May 6, 2026, at 12:15 hrs and reach Banaras at 23:30 hrs the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 01126 will leave Banaras on June 12, 2026, at 05:30 hrs and arrive at LTT at 16:40 hrs the next day.

The train will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati Junction, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Govindpuri, Fatehpur and Subedarganj stations en route.

The composition of the Teachers’ Special will include one AC 2-tier coach, six AC 3-tier coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-guard brake vans.

Railway authorities stated that booking dates for the Teachers’ Special train will be announced separately. Passengers can access reservation services through computerised reservation centres and the official IRCTC website once bookings open.
