Thane: Pedestrian Suffered Heavy Injuries After Hit By Minor Two-Wheeler In Dombivli
Dombivli, 12th October 2023: In the Thakurwadi area, a harrowing incident unfolded as a 17-year-old minor was navigating through Thakurli on a motorbike. Tragically, the young rider lost control of the vehicle, colliding with a pedestrian and inflicting severe injuries upon him.
On a Tuesday afternoon, Dombivli residents Satish Shinde and Avinash Kadam were walking towards Thakurli. As they attempted to cross the road, a minor, now accused in the case, came speedily on a two-wheeler, resulting in a significant hit with Avinash Kadam. The collision left Kadam with grave injuries to his hands and feet.
In the wake of this incident, Satish Shinde, the complainant, has taken action by lodging a formal complaint at the Ramnagar Police Station. It is alleged that the accident transpired due to the minor rider’s negligence, prompting the police to initiate legal proceedings against the young individual.
Amidst this unfortunate event, there is a growing public demand for the traffic authorities to hold the parents of the 17-year-old minor accountable. The basis of this demand rests on the assertion that allowing a youth under the age of 18 to operate a motor vehicle is a violation of the law, further underscoring the need for swift action in this case.
