Thane: Thief Posing As Scrap Dealer Steals Gym Materials And Other Iron Objects From Society In Kalyan

Kalyan, 31st July 2023: In a daring afternoon heist, a thief managed to abscond with various valuable items from Jitesh Society in Kalyan West by masquerading as a scrap dealer. The theft, which took place on Friday afternoon, involved the stealing of gym materials, an iron bathroom door, an old water motor, and other iron objects from the society premises.

Taking advantage of the absence of residents during the afternoon hours, the thief clandestinely entered the society, and to avoid arousing suspicion, he pretended to be a scrap dealer. Under the guise of inspecting the society for scrap materials, the thief first inspected the whole area.

After that, seizing the opportune moment when no one was around, he brazenly stole the side iron door, gym materials, an old water motor, and other iron materials from the society.

The incident came to light when citizens, upon noticing the missing items from the society’s premises, promptly checked the CCTV footage. In the footage, it is confirmed that the thief stole the items from the society in the afternoon hours. Immediately, the residents approached the Khadakpada police station and registered a complaint against the thief. The police are now investigating the case.
