Thane: Tragic Accident Claims Life Of Rickshaw Driver In Bhiwandi

Bhiwandi, 24th October 2023: In a devastating incident that unfolded in Bhiwandi, a rickshaw driver met with a fatal accident while attempting a U-turn from Bhiwandi to Kalyan, colliding with a tempo at high speed.

The unfortunate collision resulted in the severe injury of the rickshaw driver, who ultimately succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment. The authorities have now recorded the incident as an accidental death at the Shantinagar police station, identifying the rickshaw driver as Prasid Ramdular Tiwari, aged 44.

The deceased, Prasid, was a resident of Katarali in Phulenagar, located in the Ambernath region. The incident occurred on June 27, as Prasid was traversing his rickshaw along the road in front of Saiprem Dhaba at Temghar Pada in Bhiwandi.

He was attempting a U-turn in the opposite direction, towards Kalyan, when the collision with a tempo occurred. The impact of the collision was substantial, resulting in severe injuries to Prasid, who was subsequently rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

However, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the rickshaw driver tragically lost his life during the course of treatment.
